“The World Is NOT Coming to an End Anytime Soon” |
| Contrary to popular belief the world is not coming to an end anytime soon -- at least not because of the so-called credit crisis. The Van Wert City Schools funding renewal has just passed as a testament to our forward thinking citizens and their commitment to education. Gasoline is under $2.00 a gallon – that alone is a reason for celebration and optimism! Central Insurance, one of the area’s largest employers, gave the local economy two thumbs-up by recently completing a multi-million dollar addition. Looking to the future Van Wert County Hospital is embarking on a 6-million dollar campaign for the renovation of its Emergency Department. If we listen to the hype and allow ourselves to be paralyzed by fear, we will fulfill the prophesy of gloom and doom. However, if we continue to lead our lives, buy what we need for our families, and behave normally, the world as we know it will not come to an end. If we conduct ourselves in this fashion, maybe the “crisis” will come to an end. So, get out there and live life your way, not the way you hear it should be lived on the 6 o’clock news. |
